Who has done the membrane sweep and did it actually help kick start labor?!?!

I've heard people say they went into labor within the week. But most people don't get sweeps until 38 to 39 weeks pregnant, so how many would have gone into labor anyway?

I had one done Monday and I lost my mucus plug but haven't felt any contractions but Braxton Hicks. My doctor did say go home have sex then go walk. But after the pain I went through who the heck is thinking about sex! Instead I came home and napped. Haven't walked either so maybe that's why I haven't dilated at all.

Pretty sure mine did one during my check today, because it was more painful than the last time she checked me & she was kinda moving around up there lol. But so far nothing 😔

Both times I got it done I was in labor later that night . My doc won't do them until 39w tho

With my last pregnancy mine worked the second time I had one done, I went into labour the next day. I just got one today (38 wks 4 days) it was  painful as I am only dilated at 1.5 cm. I've been crampy-ish since getting it done  though so here's to hoping!!

Not sure if it was coincidence but I got my sweep yesterday(aug8) at 3pm had bad cramping after and had baby today(aug9) and 10:04
