Meds?

I started synthroid on Thursday. I know they say you don't really notice a difference for a while but I swear Thursday and Friday I had better energy and a clearer mind!  But today I feel more tired and I'm getting winded really really easily. Are these experiences familiar to anyone else?

I am on 50 mcg of levothyroxine, when I first started taking it, I do feel that I was short on breath a lot.  I didn't realize that was a side effect until later.  Also, my hair started to fall out-  in chunks...  It was alarming but has since slowed down. I feel like it was all a part of leveling things out.  I've read about Evening Prim Rose Oil helping thyroid patients and their symptoms-  I've started taking it but have yet to notice a difference-  when I asked my dr. About the EPRO, she said she didn't know of any results from it but it would hurt.

Watch out with using Evening Primrose, because it can act as an abortiat.

Kc be careful with epro. You can take it before ovulation and it helps with production of cm, but not after. It causes your uterus to contract and could cause miscarriage in early pregnancy. Lots of women use it to induce labor in the 3rd trimester.

If you want to try supplements you might try selenium and fish oil. The selenium has helped me a ton! And both are safe throughout pregnancy.

The first month or so I had higher energy and was clear headed. It faded a bit again. Every dose increase it feels better for a awhile then goes back. Your body's just getting used to it. Wish the good feeling would stay.

Since being on medicine I haven't noticed a change in energy but I never really thought I was sluggish to begin with....
