Desperately trying to gain weight!?!?!?

Pamela • Son Patrick 3/6/06. Chemical pregnancy 11/2016. Baby girl/boy twins Liliana and Alexander 11/7/17

When I first found out that I was pregnant with twins I basically hid from the world. I was showing by 8.5 weeks and we wanted to keep the twins a secret until we saw our family at 14 weeks. Before we announced twins a few people commented on how much I was showing. Some was rude about it and it bothered me. Now I'm 24+3 and have only gained 10 lbs. when people find out that I'm having twins they always tell me how small I am. Even some sonogram techs. It's like you can't win. Either people make you feel bad about how big you are or make you feel bad about small you are. I eat 3 meals a day plus snacks. Even when I am not hungry I make sure to eat. The thing is, these babies don't like junk. If I have anything sweet I throw up. For the first trimester all I could keep down was fruit, salads and bread. Now I'm able to eat meat. I never drank soda or used salt or butter prior to my pregnancy. I'm in no way "dieting" trying to not gain weight. The other day I wanted microwave popcorn or so I thought. I went to the kitchen and came back with a bowl of fresh mozzarella balls, Greek olives and balsamic vinegar. I looked at my husband very confused and said "this is not popcorn?" It was like the little one took over lol. I am already scared about going in to labor pre term. Right now I'm scheduled for 38+2 but our doctors said that it is highly unlikely I'll make it until then. I see so many wonderful stories about babies being born pre term and not needing NICU time.

If you don't mind, please share how much you have gained, what your babies weighed and did they need NICU? I think I'm freaking myself out.
