When kids born these days won't know what VHS tapes or walkmans were. Or tapes or zebra stripe gum or chiclets or those band-aid gum! And they won't know what it's like not to have internet or a cell phone.

I saw a funny conversation a mom had with her 2 daughters and it was something like this:

Mom: When I was your age, there was NO INTERNET.
5 year old: *Gasps*
3 year old: Were there flowers???

I'm almost 31. When my younger half sister had no idea what a VHS tape was or what "Be kind, rewind," meant, that was an indicator.

Oh, and I got an e-mail from the alumna association of my high school talking about the planning stages for my 15 year high school reunion in 2017.

I remember when a hashtag was just a pound sign, and we had to *69 people to find out who called us.

I remember having to call my parents for rides after field hockey practice from a pay phone because only really rich people had cell phones.

Oh, and my 6 year old niece asked me how old I was, told me that was REALLY old, and that she hopes I don't die soon. Kids.

The first time was when I turned 21 and thought shit now I have no great birthdays to look forward to anymore since the big ones are usually 18 and 21. Now at 23 with 2 kids I feel like I'm old, I never want to go out and I like to be in comfy clothes and shoes! Ahhh it sucks lol!!!!! 😱😱👵👵

I was 19(ish?), standing in a line of probably 15 people at the doctors office...

And could NOT remember my birthday OR how to spell my middle name correctly. No, I  wasn't on drugs.

My dad happens to walk it (we live in the same town)  and told the desk jockey. Everybody looked pissed :/ this made me feel old because my grandmother does this constantly.

The first time I felt old was when I was 15😂 I soon realized that when I looked back at all the memories of me making mud pies, club houses in the woods, and finding that one random turtle in the woods that I wanted to keep forever that I am growing up.. And the world is changing.. I hate it..
