Pain when aroused?

I never really noticed this before I got married last year... but now a week to a week and a half before my period if I get aroused I'll have period like cramps. If I even catch myself thinking about sex, I'll start to cramp.. they've been so bad before I was in the fetal position afterwards. I'm going for my checkup next month, but I'm just wondering if anyone else has this issue??
