When can I use a pillow for baby

When did you start letting you baby use a pillow in his or her crib?

My son has had a pillow in his crib since 9 months

my baby sleeps with a pillow and blankie but he is used to sleeping in the bed with us. so he lays on the pillow and pulls the blankie over himself and when he doesn't want it he throws or kicks it off.

It's probably at parent discretion. But I believe the American pediatric Association recommends not until after 2. But with that being said my daughter sleeps with a stuffed animal pillow thing in her bed at naptime. It's more just for her to play with when she's in her crib if she's awake.

My daughter has been using a very thin and small pillow since 11 months. She hasn't quite figured put how to use it but loves to throw it around her crib and pretend to lay on it before rolling off and falling asleep.
