I'm wondering how we will know he's "ready?" ...

aka: Baby "Leading" - the way.

What if baby is "ready" at 4 months? 5 months? is there a time period in which you have To wait to start ??

Liam will be 4 months old in just 5 days. He's not over eating his formula yet. he likes to watch us eat, and will open his mouth as if we're going to put food in there lol. but, he doesn't get mad when we don't.

gross motor wise, he sits supported. Nearly unsupported. he pulls himself up off his back with his strong core muscles, and has had perfectly strong and steady head control since 2 months old.

but I'm still not sure what all to look for. How did you know when baby was ready to start eating more than milk?
