How soon did you start using one and actually hear baby's heart beat? And what kind do you recommend?

I'm 8 weeks 3 days and wanting to order one soon but not sure what to get or when I can start using one and hear the heart beat.

I tried around 8 or 9 weeks.. couldn't find it.. drive myslef nuts.. i just broke it out today. I am 11w and 1d.. and I heard my little ine.. it was amazing

I heard the first one at 8w 5d (day it arrived). I picked this one up at 8w 2d clear and loud. I am quite slim which I imagine makes it easier to hear. I wouldn't have tried this early if it would have worried me not to find it, loads of women find it later and the instructions say 14w!

I have the sonoline c. Picked up my baby at 8w5d. I'm 10w4d now and I have used it 3 times.  Yesterday I was able to pick up baby right away.  HB has consistently been 155-163 Bpm for me.
