when is it too early to use tampons?

i HATE my pads and pants liners and whatnot and i want to try out tampons. it it my first time having my period and it got VERY heavy bi have to wear extra thick pads and they are very uncomfortable. when is it okay to use tampons?

There is no right time. You just have to be ready. Make sure you always use the right tampons for the flow you currently have, if you're not sure then don't use anything more than regular at first even if you think you have a heavy flow and just change it every couple hours. I personally never wear a tampon more than four hours. I'd suggest starting with a plastic applicator. They're less wide. The first few days you are getting used to tampons...when you need to change them I would also wear a pad incase of leaks. My personal favorite tampons are the black box of U by Kotex clicks. They come small and you click them into being bigger so they're more discreet in your pocket or purse. I also think they're way more comfortable to insert. *Never ever insert a tampon if you're not bleeding enough for it, taking out a dry tampon is one of the most uncomfortable thing ever. 😩

pads suck but I started my period when I was 11. UGH! but I started out with lite tampons and I felt so much better! 
I feel like I'm wearing a diaper if I use a pad or change every hour. just start small & work up to what suits your flow when it comes to using tampons!

I've used tampons since I was 12. They are WAY easier and more comfortable for me and know I only use pads at night. The right time to start using tampons is whenever you feel comfortable.

First time I ever got my period I was 13 and used a pad that day at school came home and was like f this put a tampon in and ever since then didn't look back ahahha. It didn't hurt either and never had

you can use tampons whenever you like however they can leak so if you have a heavy flow you really need to be onto it checking when to change (change much more frequently than pads)
