When did you first change nipple piercings?

I've had mine done just over 2 months & i dont think i'm ready yet despite them "looking" nearly healed even though they arent. When did you change rings the first time?

1 year! And even then it was a bad decision to do it by myself ended up seriously hurting myself for harder more sensitive piercings like that go to a piercing place by their jewellery and have then put it in for you

A year later.. I just went back to the place I got them done at and bought new ones and had them take them out for me and put the new ones in.. I was a little worried to take them out, but mostly it was just impossible for me to try to unscrew the piercings lol.. but I also only wanted to get really good quality replacements (I got super cute opals!) cuz you kinda have to be like the most careful with nipples... or at least I want to be just of the horror stories of people nipples getting infected and literally falling off😳 I'd just go back to your piercer and ask them just to be safe!

I used to be a body piercer and I have had mine done. When I was a piercer, we ALWAYS recommended waiting ATLEAST 6 months before changing them.. and even waiting 6 months can cause an infection. It's ideal to change them atleast a year later, but if you must change them sooner, please, please see your piercer to do it. At the shop I worked at, if we pierced you, and you didn't feel comfortable changing any piercing yourself, we would change them for free the first time (obviously you buy the jewelry, though). So I'm sure your piercer would change them for you with no hesitation. As piercers, we actually prefer you to get your jewelry changed professionally, (especially with "harder" piercings, such as a nipple ring), so you get the best experience. Good luck.
