So wow our birth story was insane
So wow our birth story was insane!! Monday afternoon I came down with an incredibly rough headache. Thankfully I had an appointment scheduled for the very next morning. By the time I arrived at the doctors office my legs were massively swollen (I had zero swelling this entire pregnancy), my BP had skyrocketed, and the headache was still looming. So my doctor made the decision that their was no point in risking it since I was already 37 weeks and 4 days. 
We arrive at the hospital and my cervix is completely closed. So we knew we were in for a long long ride! At 11:00 on Tuesday we began a 12 hour cervidil. After this stretch I was officially 50% effaced and 1/2 cm. So next step was 12 hours of 26 pitocin. During this time the epidural was now in full effect!! Hey after the 12 hours we came to find out I was only at 1cm!
3rd step was now the insertion of a foley bulb for 12 more hours to help my cervix to mechanically dialate! After this process I was officially at a 4 so the doctor chose to break my water!
4th step we are back on pitocin! After about 8 more hours of pitocin I came into some incredibly amount of pain!!! My epidural had shifted and completely failed. So now it was time for epidural number 2.
At this point labor is progressing wonderfully and am dialated to a 6! Yet almost simultaneously our sons heart rate plummets! We adjust positions but 8mins later he is massive distress. The doctor then decided an emergency csection was our best option to save his life!!!
From the moment we left L&D to his birth took literally 16minutes! By the time my husband entered the room I was already cut open 😱
Yet after 52 hours of labor and the trauma our baby boy is absolutely perfect with zero complications!! He was born 8/10 at 3:05PM weighing 8lbs 4oz and 21in long!!! God was definitely watching out for us and our little infertility baby miracle!
