Did you make your spouse/caregiving get the flu shot?

My doctors recommended that my spouse and any other people who will constantly be around my son should get the flu shot and/or the TDAP. Did you have them do this?

My SO willingly gets one on his own , he's the one that made me get one

My partner hasn't gotten his yet but I've asked him to as well as the rest of the family and they've all agreed. Because he and I will be the ones around our son the most in his early weeks I feel it's very important to give him some extra protection x

no I never have, but then again I don't remember the last time I got one! 
I know that will change now that im pregnant, and I'm sure he will agree to get one of the doctor says it's a good idea.

I'm going to have him do both. Im allergic to the tdap so I can not give the immunities to my child. With our girl being due in November I think it's going to be best for him to get it. I technically prepregnancy was considered high risk so I've always tried to get him to get one. You can't get the flu from one so why not get it? It's only beneficial. Yes I am aware that it is an educated guess on what the strain will look be like but honestly they usually are pretty spot on. The chemicals antivaccers will talk about are so minimal and we are exposed to them elsewhere. I mean hell people willingly and knowingly eat two of the most dangerous chemicals known to man kind sodium and chloride when combined together make salt. Sooooo I'm not going to pretend to know better than the people who make the vaccines. Also another thing to keep in mind is that it was disproven that vaccines cause autism and the man who came up with that 'theory' was stripped of his license to practice for knowingly falsifying reports. Tons of other doctors have since proven that there is no causation between the two.

Yes! We asked everyone who will be near the baby to make sure they were up to date on all their vaccines, especially tdap and the flu shot. Luckily my sister in law had a baby a few years ago, so my husband's family had all already gotten tdap when that baby was born. My parents are in health care(dads a infectious disease pediatrician and my mom's a nurse) so they're up to date for their jobs, so really I just need them all to get the flu shot when this year's comes out. My obgyn (and dad agreed) that if they've had tdap since 2010 they should be good. Flu you should get every year because it's a virus that mutates quickly.

I teach, and we have a soon-to-be kindergartner. Plus, we have 3 grandparents living with us. Everyone in our house already gets the flu shot because of this. I don't make them; we just do it for everyone's safety.

Me & my SO got the TDAP, but not the flu shot. My doctor never mentioned the flu shot

I do not get flu shots anymore but it's mandatory for my husband. We will also get the TDAP after baby is born.
