Birth control? What Kind?

Question

I'm getting married next year, my fiancé have been practicing abstinence for our whole relationship (6 years). I've been thinking about getting birth control before we tie the knot, so I'm prepared.  I had the different kinds explained briefly, but I don't know diddly squat about it. What kind are there, and what do I need to know?

Personally I'm on the pill. The one I use is Aviane, and I love it. It's a lower dose of hormones so my mood never fluctuated much. On top of that it's only $12/month through a program at Walmart. 
As for side effects, it's cleared my skin, hasn't caused any weight gain, and my period has stayed relatively regular. 
And I am much more comfortable with taking a pill daily than having an implant, iud, or shots 🤷‍♀️ but that's just me
