My husband and I talked this through before ttc. We decided that I would quit my job and be a sahm. He makes enough to support a family and we refuse to let our kids grow up in a daycare or be raised by other family members. We want 3 kids so once they are all in school I will go back to work. But till then I will be staying at home and taking care of the house and kids.

We have no family here, so I'll just work limited part time, like a day a week. He travels every week all over the country and isn't off but one day a week, so I'll probably just work whe he's around. I'm a hairdresser, so it's flexible.
