I can't feel my iud strings?

Question

I got my mirena iud inserted about 5 days ago and I checked my strings on day two and I could feel one in the top left of my cervix. However, now I don't feel them at all. I'm a little scared and my gyno's office won't be open for a few more days. Any suggestions or encouragement?

My OBGYN said it's common to not feel them, I wouldn't sweat it. 😄
