is cramping normal during early pregnancy?

I am 5 weeks 6 days, super early I know! but, I don't remember cramping this much with my first. No bleeding, just clear discharge. I am also high risk due to chronic hypertension. Any advice or answers much appreciated!

I had mild cramping from week 5 to 8. Not bad like my periods and didn't need Tylenol but still noticeable. My 9 week ultrasound showed a nice healthy heartbeat! Now I'm 11wks 2days - next ultrasound in a week!

It was for me. I had a miscarriage with my first pregnancy, so the cramping this time around was terrifying. I'm 15w4d now, and still getting cramping every day.
