marrying young??

i'm a true southern bell and i was raised in a family where we marry young and have babies young as well is it wrong for me to want to get married by 22??? everyone says it is!!

I got married at 18 and everybody tried to talk me out of it. I got pregnant with my son when I was 19, had him at 20 and now at 21 I'm expecting our little girl. Yea we've had our ups and downs through these last few years but who doesn't? I wouldn't change my life for anything

Not at all! I'd love to marry my boyfriend within the next year or two, especially now that we're expecting! But he wants to wait a little longer before getting married because he's only known two married couples that have stayed together. Everyone else has gotten divorced so it kinda put a damper on the thought of getting married for him. But he's been coming around & it seems like he's on the road of wanting it ☺️. I told him if he absolutely doesn't want to get married I wouldn't force him but I wanted him to at least think about it & consider it ☺️. I don't think there's really a certain age when people should get married. I mean there's people that get married right out of high school & stay together 😊 Good luck! 😊

No way! I got married at 21, and it was the perfect age! I'm now 25 and pregnant with our first baby!!!

I don't think it is wrong at all. My parents got married when my mom was still in college, and they had me when they were 23 and 25. I want to get married young as well. There's absolutely nothing wrong with wanting that; just as long you make sure that the person you are marrying is someone you truly want to spend the rest of your life with.

I got married at 22. As long as you and your partner are ready for that step and mature enough for it then I see no problem.

I'm getting married a couple weeks before I turn 20. So I would say compared to me 22 is perfectly fine. It doesn't really matter how old you are when you get married as long as you both love and care for each other. It's your life so it's all up to you. Do what you think is best for you. You can only learn if you make mistakes and if you get married and something happens between you two then you learn. If not then you know that it was meant to be.

If that's what you want, then go for it. Don't just do it because that's what everyone else does, though. I got married at 20 and I don't regret it, but I got lucky and it could've easily turned out like a lot of girls I know that got married young.
