What do your actions say?

"You know what kind of men we proved to be among you for your sake. And you became imitators of us and of the Lord, for you received the word in much affliction, with the joy of the Holy Spirit, so that you became an example to all the believers in Macedonia and in Achaia." (1 Thessalonians 1:5b-7)
Many great men & women of church history have come before us. The vast majority of people will never hear of their names but their influence is eternal. Think of those you have read about in history (Calvin, Luther, Edwards, Spurgeon), think of those in your own life that were involved in leading you in truth (your parents, your grandparents, teachers, elders, friends), strive to be that person for others.
Remember that people are always watching. We must preach with our words but our actions display how we really feel about God. Do your actions say that you take the more logical, easy road? Or do they say "I know the Bible says _____ but in order to keep peace & unity I'm going to do _____?" Do our actions really say "God is real. He is powerful. He is worth living for even if it means losing family, friends, jobs, etc. He is worth dying for. His Word is more authoritative than any other source."?
