coconut oil shortens periods??

so ladies, I was on Twitter and saw that ingesting a tbs. of coconut oil help shortens your period. but it's online....so my question is,
have you tried this before? 
and does it work?

No it doesn't shorten your period. Also 90% of coconut oil is hard fat and increases bad cholesterol (to be fair it also increases good cholesterol a bit). Coconut oil has been so hyped and selled as the wonder oil that there are really many misconseptions about it. BUT it is valuable thing in your skin hair and nail care. If you use it on your hair and skin. Not by digesting it. Tho for a young person, if you enjoy the taste, there is no huge harm in using it in cooking. Tho I would recommend olive oil.
