When to tell work I'm pregnant?

Question

When did you tell your job you were pregnant? I'm very early still at 6 weeks but this exhaustion halfway through the day is real! I also have nausea in the mornings and randomly throughout the day which is getting super hard to hide. 
I work in a retail environment and I'm a manager of a cosmetic counter. I have one employee under me and then a management staff above me as well. I know I'll be late Wednesday because I have a doctor appt scheduled and I need to let them know but I'm wondering if I should tell them I'm pregnant or just make another excuse? Everyone is very close and friendly and I'm afraid that whoever I tell will spread it around (not that it's a huge deal, but I want to wait to announce it publicly until after 12 weeks) 
What do you think I should do?

I told my boss extremely early (like 7 weeks, a little before) so that when I had an appointment or had to call out he would know why. I'm glad I did because it took the stress off. I told my other coworkers at 12 weeks though. If you don't want to tell everyone yet, just consider telling your management and let them know that it's early and the word is not out.

I told my coworkers & boss at both my jobs when I found out. I was a little over 4 weeks when I found out & I let them know because I had to miss work for the appointments & I was constantly in the bathroom getting sick so I didn't want them to think I had something contagious.

I *plan* (aka when I concieve) to tell them at 12-15 weeks. I am a dental hygienist so they would need to find someone to cover me and I think that allows ample time. I have talked to my mom about it (she has had 3 kids and worked) and she said many women choose to wait until they are in the 2nd trimester.

I let me boss know at 19 weeks and most of my coworkers at 21 weeks. There are a few coworkers that I haven't told just because I don't speak to them on a regular basis and don't think it's pertinent information for them.

I told HR at 21 weeks when I couldn't  hide it anymore lol. I waited bc I wanted a new school district and didn't want to be turned down just bc of maternity leave. With my other pregnancies I told them a lot earlier but those were jobs I wasn't going to return to.

I let mine know early because I was concerned about the chemicals and reagents we use at work, but all was fine. My team was very understanding. I also had bad all day sickness too. But I ended up having to take bed rest a week after I told my supervisor and my team so it made it very easy to tell them without having to explain too much.

I work in a medical office and told the doctor I work for very early. I suffered from a lot of 24 hour sickness but didn't want to get sent home if they thought I had the flu. I've worked there for a couple years and most people were aware of my struggle ttc and history with miscarriage. In a small office with lots of women it was nice having the support early on especially during the first trimester when I was expecting the worst. I am now 32 weeks with twins, plan on taking off 12 weeks and returning 3-4 days a week after maternity leave.

I run a department that handles a large part of our business.  We run lean and will need an extra person for the next year.  It takes us a long time to fill positions with the right candidate and get them trained.  I want to be sure I'll feel okay about being off for maternity leave and not feel like I have to work from home everyday so I told my immediate supervisor at 9 weeks.  We met with the owner at 10 weeks to tell him to start strategizing.  I wanted to go Facebook public and everyone knows someone :) so I told the rest of my staff and coworkers at 12 weeks.
