💙❤My Birth Story of my August 2017 Baby Boy!❤💙
I was scheduled for induction August 8th. 40 weeks. At 10 am they used cytotec to help soften my cervix (I started at 80% effaced and 2 cm) My doc jokely referred to cytotec as "cytoBLAST" 😁 Because sometimes you dilate rather quickly from it. So to my surprise I didn't get Pitocin, yay! So about 1 hour later I was already 3cm - Yay its actually working! 😊 Then came the scare..babys heartrate was deceling ..or they couldnt locate it..They came in and had me lay on my left, right, then all 4's..And gave me oxygen. I have heard this so many times in birth stories on Glo but it really is absolutely terrifying! I was praying silently at this point trying not to get emotional. After about 5 minutes all was good again. Thank God! So they let my doc know what happened. He was there within minutes (his office is actually connected to the hospital) And wanted to break my water , after he broke my water , they said now would be a good time to get the epidural. It worked great! I dilated from 3cm to 10 cm within 3.5 hours, then waited on doc to start pushing, I pushed him out in 2 good pushes..Fastest dilation and pushing stage so far - this is my 5th birth. Of course I thought he was just the cutest baby ever! He came out crying and was put on my chest and I breastfed for about 30 minutes. He weighed 8lbs 5 oz 20 inches long. He was born at 3pm. Here he is!! This is Isaiah Matthew 💙💙
