Bible Guilt?

Question

Does anyone else feel bad about themselves after reading the Bible? Or is it just me? No judgement, I know people find solace in it but whenever I read the parameters for women I end up feeling like there's something wrong with me...

If I'm doing something I shouldn't be doing and the Bible makes me realise it I will immediately stop and do the right thing. I think it's a good thing that the bible helps us to straighten out ways. It serves as a moral compass. So don't feel bad, take it all in good faith.

I'm assuming from your comments you are talking about women in the Bible like Ruth or Hannah and scriptures like Proverbs 31. Ask the Lord why you feel bad first. Know that those are goals and the Lord will help you reach them. I'm not a perfect house wife/mom but my goal is to be a Proverbs 31 woman. Why? Because the Lord has given me His Spirit not only to be free from sin but to achieve amazing things in His name and with His strength inside.

A spiritual elder once said that we should be ashamed when we sin, not when we repent. As for the "parameters", what exactly do you mean? 
You shouldn't feel bad about yourself after reading Scripture. You should feel empowered to be better, to do better.
