Are Birthdays a big deal to you as a parent?

For me yes they are. I love to celebrate my kids and make them feel special even if it's something small. My daughters father did not come down for her First Birthday and I am upset about it. We spent 5 years together and I had his first baby girl. He has two boys where he lives and he has never missed a birthday of theirs and they are 11 and 6. So I am really disappointed that he couldn't be here for our baby girl first birthday. He is good financially, he is not sick or anything so it's no excuse why he couldn't come here with his two boys. He even said over the phone that they were gonna come but he will just rather pick her up in a few week. But a few weeks from now is not her birthday. I even offered to go up there to spend her birthday but he said no. I'm over it and I know many of you may not think it's a big deal but to me it is especially since I know the type of father he is to his two boys. I know my baby won't remember this birthday but it's the fact of having both parents to celebrate her. Family is so important to me and even though I am no longer in a relationship with her father I can always put my personal feelings aside for our child. Anywho Happy First Birthday to my baby girl 💖
