Period while preg?

Has anyone gotten their period while actually pregnant?  Like, a real period (not light or spotty)? Really thought this was my month...

My mother, with all 4 of her pregnancies, did not know she was pregnant until month 3 because she was still having her period. She only found out because she started showing due to having no symptoms of pregnancy.

It's not possible to have a full fledged period while pregnant.

If you have a look on the baby centre website you will find that it is possible because there are some women who don't know they are pregnant till quite late in the pregnancy. I have read that it can have something to do with your body being so used to having periods that they can still happen. That's what I have been told anyway. I don't think it's very common though.

My mum had periods every 28 days for 6 months while pregnant with me, it was like real periods.  She never knew she was pregnant untill she was 7 months gone.  She thought me kicking was gas and she gained only 1 stone by then so just thought she was a fatty.

You can not have a true peroid while pregnant.  It is impossible.  When you have your peroid your body completely sheads your uterine lining.  If that happened while you were pregnant you would misscarry.  However, it is possible to have bleeding that seems to be consistent with your cycle due to hormone changes.  But it is NOT a peroid.  If you are bleeding more than normal for your pregnancy so far you need to contact you doctor or go to the ER.  It maybe normal but better safe than sorry.

I had regular periods two months into my pregnancy. Didnt know i was pregnant until i was 3 months. So yes it is possible.
