My SO has been really grumpy towards me lately since i haven't felt like doing anything sexual. I dont think i should have to give it up whenever he wants it. advice pls.

no but i do. and youre talking about sex like its a chore or a game. both partners should be equally satisfied in a relationship. if you don't feel like it fine.. but dont think he doesn't have a right to get pissy because it truly does suck. i learned that when my husband had hernia surgery and we couldn't for a month.. we about ripped eachother apart the tension was so high.  you said you shouldnt have to give it up when he wants.. so what? hes supposed to give it upwhen you decide to want it? no. you both have sex when you both want it. sex isn't a toy to hide and take away from eachother. its meant to bring you together as a couple.. not put a wedge.

You don't have to have sex if you don't feel like it. You should only have sex when you want to. He also has the right to be grumpy though. So if you are not going to have sex, that is your choice, but you need to give him the space to be grumpy. It is normal and natural to be a little bit frustrated when you want to have sex but cannot. On the other hand, your partner should not be treating you badly because of your choice not to have sex.
