First job gone wrong
So I got this job as an assistant for this lady who does facials, she runs her own business and works out of this room she rents. I started working there during the end of July and for my first week she didn't fully pay me, and she asked me to come in on a Saturday and She should've payed me 45$ but she handed me a 20$ and said it was a tip. And she hasn't paid me for it and that was almost 3 weeks ago. I broke my phone at work and I told her it's going to be awhile Til I get a new one and to just email me bc I check it constantly so it's not like a problem to email. She never emailed me to come in for the past 2 weeks. I've been emailing her and she said she just isn't busy and I said okay. I emailed her Sunday if she needs me this week and she said her old assistant is in town and she's having him work for her, and she said she usually has 2 assistants when one can't make it, which really confused me bc I can make it? The part that really pissed me off is when she said "it's too bad your boyfriend can't pay for your phone" like wth?? That is not her place to say anything. She always talks about her millionaire ex boyfriend and how she lived off him for years and that running this business was her first job in years. Idk what to think about any of this. Then she said she liked having the old assistant bc he knows everything and I'm still learning, and I was thinking, why doesn't she just have him show me the ropes while he's in town? What really bothers me is that she didn't give me a heads up she just didn't email me about anything or when I tried to contact her she'd just say she's not busy enough to have me in. It's ridiculous. If an old friend/employee Is in town have drinks with them, not give them their old job while they're in town and ghost on your new employee. Idk what to do
