Peeing after sex to avoid a UTI?

Every time I have sex I have to make sure I go pee afterwards to avoid a UTI. Sometimes it's really not convenient to use the bathroom or hydrate after sex to go as soon as possible, but it seems like I get UTIs very easily if I'm not careful. Are other people experiencing this issue? Is there an underlying cause?

It's bacteria that gets in your urinary tract. 
I'd suggest:
-showering at least once a day
-peeing after sex
-wiping front to back
-wear cotton underwear 
-avoid tight pants
-drink cranberry juice daily
-stay hydrated 
-pee when you need to go pee
Keep your vagina clean and you should be good.

It happens to me as well. The only thing that helped was peeing after intercourse.

Happens to me like clockwork it seems. But just like the other ladies mentioned it's REALLY important to pee after intercourse. If you're prone to UTI's it seems like the slightest germ or bacteria goes haywire inside of you. My doctor actually put me on antibiotics thinking that would help but it actually messed me up more than it helped. So I would just try to pee, wash, and stay fresh down there. 😊 good luck!

It happens to me too. It's just from the bacteria from sex. When you don't owe after sex it harbors and gives you an infection. I've just learned its something I have to do. It's annoying, but I haven't had a UTI in almost 2 years since I've started doing this
