Did anyone else take forever to get a positive?

Katt

Hullo! I'm 24 and a college student, and while my boyfriend and I do plan on spending our lives together, we were trying to get them together in the first place before having kids lol.

Basically I haven't had a positive test yet, but my last cycle was really weird and light (like 3 days of spotting, 2 days where I wore a light coverage tampon and then another day of spotting followed by one more like half day with a tampon) and as of today I'm over a week late. This is unusual because since I went off of depo in 2014 I've had very regular cycles since 2015. I've never been more than 2/3 days late. I have nausea on and off all day, but wasn't sure if these could be due to my psychoactive medication (a common side effect). I also have weird stomach cramps that are in my upper abdomen that I've never felt before. Some light lower cramps too.

I've been assuming that the pregnancy tests I took must be right and thus something else is making me feel "off", but then I started hearing about women (especially larger women) getting negatives until 4 or 5 months pregnant. Have any of you experienced this? At this point, I've decided to just go with my gut feeling of "I'm pregnant" because the next step in either case is to get to the doctor. I think I'd be about 10 weeks.
