Cycle length 24 days luteal phase defect?

I was reading about luteal phase defects and think I have that. I see my doctor June 19th to talk about helping me conceive. Any advise or thoughts on luteal phase defects?

24 day cycle doesn't automatically mean you have got a LP defect! If you O on CD 9-11 than your fine! Did you chart your BBT or do you use OPK? FIRST track your cycle 2-3 month with BBT and OPK - if that confirms you are ovulating CD 14 or later THAN you can go to your OBGYN to ask for help! How long are you TTC?

It depends on when you're ovulating whether your LP is short not how long your cycle is. 
​Mine has been short the last couple cycles I've been charting (between 9 and 10 days not counting when I start spotting). I started making sure to take my temp at the exact same time and bought a better thermometer to make sure it was actually short and not just me charting incorrectly. 
​I also started taking vitamin b complex at the beginning of this cycle. It's supposed to help with luteal phase length. It did push my ovulation up 2 days and usually by now (7 DPO) I would be spotting but I haven't noticed anything so I'm hoping my LP will be longer than 10 days even if I don't conceive. 
​I do know some doctors do not believe that a luteal phase defect is a problem, but I would definitely mention it and see what they say. Bring your charts to show them why you think you have a short LP.

If you do have defect ovulate to late for implantation how do you fix it? I have read progesterone pills can fix it? I see doctor June 19th

Hiya! I've got a luteal phase defect since my miscarriage in March. Used to have perfect 28 day cycles ovulating on day 14! Now I ovulate later & have shorter cycles! Great! I've started acupuncture to try & help, not had a full cycle since so will see how it goes!

​Do you know for definite when you ovulate as you could just ovulate early in your cycle and be ok?! X
