It's not what people think

While people know you are suffering a severe emotional loss, I don't think most understand how physically taxing a miscarriage is. I had no idea - until now. Everyone thinks it's a singular event that just happens, unaware that it's a lengthy, painful, messy, confusing and tiring process. Everyday the bleeding - the physical reminder of your loss. Everyday the blood in the toilet and changing pads to discard the remains of your pregnancy into the trash.
I want the bleeding to stop, the thought also makes me anxious. Once the bleeding stops, it's done, gone, over 😔 ... and I'll still be grieving.
