The Women Who Kill Lions... Do you support it?

Question

I'm watching this documentary called The Women Who Kill Lions, because they get hated on for hunting animals including giraffes and lions... birds that casually fly by in their backyard. 
I guess any kind of hunting makes me sad, only because i dont see the entertainments in it.. I enjoy shooting guns and challenging myself on a shooting range with a variety of targets, but I would only hunt if it were necessary for survival. It makes me sad that these little birds and gorgeous animals are being snuck up on and killed in their own homes where they thought they were safe. . Opinions?

Nope 'cause I'm not a barbarian. Go ahead and hunt if you're gonna eat it afterwards but if you're killing shit just for sport you're a terrible human being. Big game hunting is pathetic and there's nothing to even be proud of, a 5 year old could kill a lion with a gun. Go in there unarmed and punch a lion. If you survive then you might have something to brag about but no one cares because you're still an idiot for being a dick to a lion.

I only support killing animals when it's necessary for population control (like deer in the Midwest) and when the meat is used for food.  otherwise what's the point?

I'm not vegan or vegetarian, but it doesn't mean I can't feel bad for these animals. I'm never okay with hunting for sport or because it's bothering you. Unless it's wasps, they can fuck off. If anyone's a devils spawn it's mother fucking wasps. But i wholeheartedly disagree with this.

No. Definitely not. It even makes me sad when I watch documentaries on animals and they have to eat other animals to survive, even though I know it's a part of life, lol.

I need more information. Many thing like this seem unequivocally wrong, but there are deeper layers. 
For example, tourists in African countries go to hunt lions. Many people condemn it who don't live in those countries. 
However, the money from those tourists have greatly helped those countries and most go to preserving wild lands for lions and preventing poaching, which was a HUGE problem. So people within those countries like it. 
I think it's easy for us to judge when we're not around these creatures. I'm not saying it's 100% good but it's definitely more nuanced than this.

Lions are an endangered species.
Endangered species should NOT be hunted for ANY REASON.
I'm honestly disgusted that all over the world you can still legally obtain hunting licenses to kill endangered animals.

I wouldn't every kill a lion or a giraffe. They are just killing them to say they did bc u can't bring them home with u so they go to waste. I feel that is wrong. The only thing I shoot is deer and we eat the meat and we have a friend who makes things out of the skin.
