When to go to hospital?

I'm 40+2 weeks today and have been having contractions since 9am(its now 6:30pm). They're definitely there a bit uncomfortable. I know the 5-11 rule and have timed some contractions. They usually are less than 10mins apart and last from 40-60secs. I'm just really not sure.

Call your on-call OB and ask. I was told until they're 5 minutes apart, you don't need to go in, but they may want to check you anyways.

I had this the other day for hours, down to 4 min apart for 1 min long and it went away with a hot shower. 😐 I kinda knew it couldn't be the real thing bc they never got stronger. I would say if they are feeling like they are increasing in intensity over time, it is worth calling the dr! Good luck!!!
