When did you get stretch marks?

Just curious 🤷🏻‍♀️ I am 33 weeks. I don't have them yet, but my mom had them so I am guessing I will eventually.
Also...If you got them, did your mom have them? Did you use oil or creams? I know everyone's stories are different so i'm just curious!

I had none before I gave birth, & then afterward I have them around my belly button. Honestly, they're not that bad now, 5.5mo pp. My mom's are wayyyyy worse. I used a mix of coconut oil & Palmers cocoa butter, drank lots of water, & stayed very active so as to minimize excess weight gain. I do think they're genetic to some extent, but I also think you can help or hurt your genetic proclivities by taking great (or awful) care of yourself.

I didn't get any until after I gave birth. I am breast feeding and lost a lot of weight right away so I guess thay's what contributed to me getting them. I only have a few

I never got any with my first baby but I got a few at the very end of my second pregnancy which I thought was a bit strange and he was smaller then my first 🙈

I don't know if my mom had them. I've never spoken to her and my dad dosent remember. But I went my entire pregnancy without a stretch mark until the last couple weeks and I had 3 tiny ones.(and believe me I was looking!) After I gave birth was when my stretch marks made their grand entrance. Here I was thinking i was all good and then bam. They aren't horrible but they are EVERY WERE and I used lotion throughout my entire pregnancy 😑

I got mine two weeks before giving birth. My mom did have them. I did use cocoa butter and it didn't help.

I'm currently 40w and 2 days and I never had a stretch mark on my stomach due to pregnancy.. My mother had 4 kids and doesn't have any stretch marks aswell so I'm not 100% sure if that had anything to do with it... I did use palmers massage stretch mark cream everyday in the morning and night. I didn't have any itchiness therefor I never scratched.. hope this helps.. you might be one of the lucky ones that doesn't get a stretch mark aswell
