Telling the doc the truth

I'm pretty young and i'm sexually active with my boyfriend. I'm going in to my doctors to start birth control. I told my mom I wanted to start "the pill" because of my period, but what happens when the doctor asks. My family is very close to the doc and my doctor has known me since I was two days old. Do doctors tell your parents your sexually active?
