moving with boyfriend expectations VS reality?

girls, when you moved with your man what are some of the things you expected? and what was the real thing you got?  ...I'm moving with my boyfriend in 2 weeks and we have really high and good expectations but I know some things will not be even close to what we have in mind.

There will be a lot of things you will love (waking up/going to sleep together, cooking together, talking about your day, etc) but expect there will be a few things that he will do that will annoy you. Everyone has bad habits, but when we don't live with them we don't notice. He might be bad about putting his clothes in the hamper or not like doing dishes or something. Just remember its going to be an adjustment period and that you both need to be open and honest with each other if something is bothering you. Good luck!

Don't expect him to do anything he might have promised.  My husband promised he would always clean the floors and help with the bathroom.  Has that happened?  Nope.  Apparently because I'm a SAHM I'm supposed to do everything?  Just saying.  I do a lot of other things.  I refuse to do the trash and recycling.  His two sons and he and can handle that as far as I'm concerned!

Just know it might be hard for a while. You notice things about someone when you live together that you didn't notice previously. Try not to let the little things get to you.

Go into it knowing it will be hard! I heard horror stories of people moving in with their SO and thinking it would be wonderful, and then they were so disappointed because it was so tough! My SO and I went in with eyes wide open, knowing it would be difficult actually living together and getting used to it. 
I'm glad we went in with the mindset that some days wouldn't be great, because we were much more prepared for those days. It all worked out and we have been living together for nearly 4 years now and married almost a year.

I was homesick at first but then I got used to it, still not use to him dropping his shit all over their floor and me having to pick it up. But I do really love living with him. We're best friends and we get along really well so it's great!

I loved moving in with my husband at the time man friend. we did tend to clash though, I had an idea of how I wanted the apartment and he had his own ideas lol we worked it out but it can be stressful.

My bf and I moved in no problem. When either of us does something the other dislikes such as leaving something behind, we either clean it up as we see it (mostly me!XD)because things get left behind sometimes. Or if it happens alot then we mention it to the other and it gets done, no fights! Id say something important is to pick and choose battles and before u start something ask, is this worth being upset about? Or is it just a crumb on the counter? Its good to think about the longterm consequences being too picky can have and prevent them by only picking battles when absolutely necessary and calmly talk it through with understanding for the situation in mind.
