Question

So im in a blended family now, and my girl friend son just went off to college. I have a 12 year old daughter and we're in the processing of moving. My gf think its ok for her son to have the bigger room but i think my daughter shld since she wldbe actually be home 365 days. I need some help 😔 idk its fair!

Me and my wife just read this and we believe the 12 year old should. If her son is in college he will only be home a few days on breaks correct? Me personally, I have two daughters and me and my wife are on month one TTC our own child. And I know for a fact that when my daughters are older and go to college I would more than likely move the youngest to the bigger room because he/she will be home in a regular basis not just a "visit " . It has nothing to do with who is older or who's child should or shouldn't, we would just logically see that if one child is home more they would have more things by constantly being there whereas the child coming on breaks from college would have mainly a load of laundry/ book bag of clothes for visit. Ya know? Sorry your in a bind.

The daughter who is LIVING IN THE HOME daily should have the bigger room. Room choosing should always be about convenience and respect of space of who is in the house most. The son will be back to stay as if it's a hotel more than a room to GROW in. Give that 12 year old a solid big room to evolve through her teenage years. 💜 . . . otherwise, let the daughter and son talk it out with you. Do either of them care? If they are "fighting" over it, a good ol' fashioned pros/cons list can always help.
