The man I love is an addict. He quit dope and is a year sober now but has been smoking weed to calm his inner addict. He went on an NA campout last weekend and decided to quit smoking weed, he even smashed his pipe. He talked to his sponsor and told him about me. His sponsor advised him to take a break until he was 2 months sober. So he told me that he still loves me but he needs to focus on getting sober. He told me that we need to take a break and when he's ready, I'll be the first woman he gets into a relationship with. He said he wants to keep in touch and stay friends until he's better. Have any of you ladies gone through this? Did you get back together with him? What was the outcome?
