On Tuesday August 15 I was officially 38 weeks pregnant. At 2 am, I feel this giant thump inside my belly and then the gush of water I have been waiting for. I am officially in labor and nothing can stop it now! We get to the hospital at 2:30 and my contractions are in full swing. I progressed really fast! By 3:30 I was 3 cm (I went in at 1 1/2) and by 5:30 I am 7-8! I get into a labor room and they check me at 7:30 and I am 9. Almost time!! My contractions were super intense and all in my back. They were excruciating. The doc keeps checking me, certain my son would be born by 10am......fast forward to 2 PM and I'm still 9 and still contracting hard. My son had already turned face down so my back labor was gone but my contractions were one on top of the other. Come 3:30, the doc tells me not only am I still only 9, but my sons head is lodged in the birth canal and has cervix all around it...so I can't try and push. Ultimately we decide to go for a c-section. At 4:02 pm my son Jacob Everett was born weighing 7lb 11.8oz and 20 inches long. We are so in love!! 😍😍😍😍
