Is there anything that can cause a false positive ...

I was pregnant with twins and had to have a dnc in may . I have had a normal period since . Today I was late so I took a pregnancy test . It showed positive will take another to confirm .

Could there still be hcg in my body ?

I'm also taking progesterone vaginally . Could this cause a false positive ?

Deep down I know the answers are no but I would just like opinions before I'm crazy over joyed .
