Checking for dialation is it painful?

I'm 37 weeks next Monday and doctor  is checking at my appointment. Just curious if it hurts?

As someone who checks dilation for a living, the best thing you can do is relax your muscles when they tell you to, and breath through the process... if you're relaxed and breathing it takes seconds and it's done. ;) GL.

It is uncomfortable more than anything

Had it done yesterday. So not fun and very uncomfortable. By the way you might cramp the next day or so.

Not for me. Just felt uncomfortable Cuz they're sticking their hands in there to check the cervix.
