To test or not to test

So I'm almost a week late. I feel like I always overreact and think I'm pregnant (the one time I didn't I had a little girl 9 months later!) LOL anyways. My husband and I have been trying but just kinda going with the flow. Do I test or just wait it out longer? Thanks in advance!

UPDATE:

I test today. It came out negative and we've been pretty bummed today.
