Breastfeeding and periods?

Question

I gave birth June,9th bled all the way thru July 11th, stopped bleeding and have not had my period yet? I remember the nurse at the hospital said that many woman do not even get their period while breastfeeding, so I feel like maybe that's what happening here.
I just want to know how many of you did get their period ? Or didn't? Idntk ... just wondering ..,

So if there is no period how do you know when you are ovulating ?

My little one was born aug 11 2016 bled about 3weeks and then stop (I think maybe less). I breastfed (only) til she was a week from being 11 months and still have no period.. not missing it but I keep stuff with me for just in case it makes its entrance

You have a 2% chance of ovulating if:
Nursing every 4 hours during the day
Nursing every 6 hours at night
Have not gotten a period 
Child is less than six months old
Child has not ingested anything but breast milk
Mine returned at 11 months postpartum after my daughter slept through the night for the first time. I inclusively breastfed for the first three weeks. And obviously at 11 months she was also receiving solid foods.

It depends if u dont give ur baby formula and only breastfeed u wont  get ur period at least thats what happened to me. For the first 3 months i didnt give my baby formula hes 6 months now and i give him formula and breastmilk and sure enough i got my period on the 4 th month since i didnt give him strictly breastmilk. But i now get my period a month and miss the next.
