High Blood Pressure after delivery??

Ka

So I was induced (pre-eclampsia) at 37 weeks 2 days which was on Sunday. My precious daughter was born on Monday, August 14th. Since I've been in the hospital my blood pressure has been really high and just all over the place. Like 140s-160s. On Tuesday they started oral medication to get it down, then I had to stay another day to increase the dosage and still no change. Long story short, I'm still here and about to go crazy.

Any mommas dealt with high blood pressure after delivery? How did doctors treat it and did you have to stay in the hospital for a long time?

A Dr I talked to today told me that she had a patient who had really high blood pressure after delivery and another Dr ended up sending her home after no improvement and she ended up having a stroke. She was 22. Well I'm only 21 so I can really understand why this is so serious and now I'm freaked out. But I feel like there is more that can be done rather than just keeping me here to sit in a room all day long...I'm getting very frustrated at this point. I just want to be home😭

*update* I'm also having no other symptoms whatsoever. No headache, blurred vision, nausea. Nothing. Just the high blood pressure...so that's why I'm just very confused right now.
