When do you get checked for dilation?

I'll be 32 weeks at my next appointment. When will my doctor start checking me? Thank you in advance 😘

Normally not until after 36 weeks. And even then some don't check since it doesn't really indicate anything.

Mine didn't check until 38 weeks and she asked if I wanted it checked.  Otherwise they wouldn't have done a check at all.

They don't start until 37/38 weeks because checking can induce labor is what my OB explained to me.

It's dependent on the care provider. Because it's clinically useless information unless you're high risk or in need of an induction some don't check at all. Others do it after 36 weeks, and others only if you ask.
