Charlie horse???

Hey ladies. 
So I'm 15w4d pregnant and I've noticed the last few nights I have been woken by the worst Charlie Horses ever in my left calf. Wondering if any of you experienced this too and why it happens? I looked on line and it says a number of things just wondering if any of you are getting them too?

My midwife advised I take a magnesium - calcium vitamin. 
I totally notice the difference if I miss a day! Otherwise very little muscle/leg troubles!!

Eat at least half a banana a day and drink plenty of water.

Bananas and water definitely help. When I feel one coming on I jump out of bed and stand on that leg, brings it right out. If not it's so sore it can even bruise. Standing is definitely the best help for me.

I had them every night last month for about 2 weeks! it was so painful. I asked my doctor and she said its completely normal just to make sure to drink lots of water and that should help.  my mom told me to eat a banana or two a day and that seemed to help. I haven't had them anymore thank God.
