My baby is 11 days old, we've had a rough time breastfeeding. He did really good in the hospital as far as latching but like instantly when we got home he started having trouble. He'll latch pretty good and suck for 5-10 seconds, then stop and unlatch and cry. I, sometimes, will basically fight with him to latch and stay latched for 20 minutes and it's just exhausting and stressful and I don't know what to do. He wouldn't eat much for like almost 2 days so I just pumped and bottle fed. Now it's gotten so bad that I'm having to use formula as well to get him full. I don't want to use formula but I don't now what else to do. I've started on a milk supply supplement and I'm about to call and schedule an appointment with an LC, but I'm just honestly so overwhelmed and stressed out. Anyone have any tips for me?
