Bottles other than formula?

Everyone I know keeps telling me that I need to start my two week old on rice bottles, or asking to let her try kool aid or soda. I thought you were not supposed to give them anything like that?

Nnoooo!!! Oh my gosh please do not give anything other than formula... VERY bad for baby... yikes. There's zero nutrition in any of those things and they are high in sugar which is very bad for baby... it's sad people do these things..

you just have to stand your ground as mom. if someone tells you you NEED to do something simply say "no, I don't. And you won't either." to some older people, times have changed. My mother in law thought I should have been giving my daughter cow milk at 2 months old, because it's what the doctor had her oldest son on at that age. I wouldn't call them crazy, just misinformed on what is newborn safety in this day and age. But definitely don't let people bully you in your parenting methods.

Wow so not listen to them!! A baby having soda?! You're just giving them a head start on getting diabetes. 
Thru can have water after 6 months as long as it's cool boiled. Apart from that I wouldn't give my baby anything else til he's much older.

Do those people even have kids!?! My doctor said my babies couldn't have that until 3 months. Kool aid and soda umm no, my babies are about to be a year old and I've barely started giving them some apple juice with water in it. That's not all the time just once or twice a week
