just wondering how you guys do it

I've been having trouble applying for jobs online. when I apply I use indeed , I give it time and I've never receive any messages or any calls from the employer . i call the employer but they give me a bunch of bull am I doing it wrong ? maybe I'm on the wrong site idk I need some help any tips will do or what website you use and how
