I only did once I switched to a silicone band at 31 weeks due to swelling. I take it off for a couple days to let it heal, then put it back on; then repeat.

Happened to me! I didnt wear my ring for a few days to let the area heal (it had gotten red, itchy, and even peeling in places). Before I put my ring back on I cleaned it with hot water and dish soap - I stayed away from my jewelry cleaner because I was worried the chemicals in it would re-irritate the rash.
