Hello Ladies, I live in California. I was laid off 1 month ago from work, I applied and qualified for unemployment. I will soon be 36 weeks and I plan to apply for disability. I was wondering if anyone has been down that road? my question is if once disability claim quicks in will those weeks of benefit be counted against my unemployment claim? unemployment gives you 26 weeks and disability only 8 or 12 depending on type of delivery (c section or normal) I guess my concern is that if those weeks of dissability will be deducted from my unemployment claim meaning that will be less time to look for work after baby is here.
